Thanks Barbie!

Thanks Barbie for coming to see us on your spring break, and THANKS for the very-cool-I-never-could've-done-it HEADER. I LOVE it!
Who would have thought that we'd have blonde babies almost the same age, the same weight and height...along with amazing husbands, YEARS after lamenting about who we'd go to prom with?! Barbie and Justin have both been good friends for years. I was on the high school leadership team at Westbrook with Justin and he led the first high school small group I was ever in- a study on the Old Testament. Not sure why I chose that as my first Bible study, but he did a great job at making it interesting!


Barbie...well, Barbie has been a ray of light for years. In high school as I went through some really tough things, Barbie's positivity, not to mention the ability to be goofy and just all around fun, literally made my high school years a blast. Some days we'd be the ONLY ones to dress up on "spirit days" at West. We dressed up as grapes one year (we had other friends that were part of the fruit of the loom group) and wore balloons pinned all over us. We had to get through the day together- figuring out how we'd get through doorways and sit down in class. I have countless hilarious moments with Barbie, as well as times she's been there to support, encourage, and just point out reality. She is an amazing friend.




She, Justin and Aubrey came to visit us in Fresno this week and we went to the Fresno zoo. AWESOME zoo. I actually liked it better than the San Diego zoo. It's so green, and small enough that you don't have to get a workout while looking at all the animals if you don't want to. Christian and Aubrey were so cute together! They played so nice. They have the same "straw cup," liked the same things as snacks, need the same amount of naps, were SO CUTE riding in Barbie's awesome bike trailer/stroller...I will restrain from trying to fix them up together at age 1. = )
